his room continues to be the cutest thing i have ever seen, and i continue to be distracted at work by thoughts of him. pregnancy is starting to get a bit old, however, and the discomfort has increased considerably - enough so that i have been seeing a chiropractor and have a prenatal massage scheduled for this week. the chiro is helping with the back pain for sure.
so, since i am now far along enough to start getting sick of pregnancy, i thought i would keep things going with a little pros-cons list of sorts:

THINGS I WILL NOT MISS ABOUT BEING PREGNANT:
-weighing the number of pounds that i weigh. numbers shall not be disclosed on the internet. if you want to know, ask.
-not being able to do things - like reach behind me or stand from a seated position without grunting like a tennis player or lift crap
- the digestive issues. no details necessary.
-the back pain and general discomfort - paired with the whinyness and hormonal changes - are not exactly a party
- not being able to have lots of things - caffeine and raw fish in large quantities, and - you know - the occasional wine or beer.
-peeing every five freaking minutes. i don't know how you small-bladdered ladies get anything done!
THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT BEING PREGNANT:
- the hair. it rarely gets dirty, it doesn't fall out, and i happen to think it looks great a lot more often than it did before. it's pretty fantastic.
- the skin (with the exception of the first few weeks of pregnancy) - i haven't had a breakout in ages. and you KNOW i don't wash my face as often as i should and the bad skin will be back with a vengeance soon.
- feeling Parker move around in there. it's cool.
- people fawning over me and having to be nice to me most of the time. that's kinda nice. people always stop for me in parking lots now when i am walking.
- the fun of speculating what he will be like and look like. i had a dream about him last night and he was fair with plump legs. of course, he was also at least 3 months old and wearing horizontally striped pants, which he doesnt currently own.
- paul's fascination with me and care for me. he is always good to me, but there are a lot more sweet touches and protective gestures and it's REAL cute.
- being able to keep him safe easily. outside babies require considerably more care, i'm told!
so, yeah. i don't really have anything but my spawn to talk about!

talking about the spawn is totally cool... i just can't wait till he's OUT and we can talk about him even more! ;-) ps. you hair HAS been looking pretty amazing fab. i was going to ask you what products you were using!
I love you in the morning and all throughout the day. I love you in the evening, in every single way. I love you all the time. Goodness. Nice books Brooke. ;-)
Oh, and how did I miss-- that's not my puppy? LOL!
Getting so close! I can't wait to meet you little Parker.
I'm pretty sure that we all want to hear as much spawn talk as you will tell us! I am also convinced that anything you hated during pregnancy is permanently removed from your brain after you have the baby, otherwise, I don't think anyone would go through it again :) At least your pro list is considerably longer! And, uh, that mobile is the cutest ever!!
dude, we want to hear about all the parts of your life, but the impending birth of your perfect little dude is really at the top of the list of topics for all of us, isn't it? it is for me, for sure. :)
can we get one or two more belly pics, hot stuff? i'm not there to physically nom on you, but i'd definitely be willing to give it a shot on the interwebz. thanks. :) xo
Can't wait to see pics of the little precious! The nursery is great!
