beyond blessed

we've been so overwhelmed with all the love for baby k. because of a couple of weird turns of events, we have had four (FOUR!) showers for the little dude. it's bizarre, and wonderful. i feel a lot of guilt about it, actually, but am trying to just be gracious. i know people wouldn't do it if they didn't want to!

aaanyway, the fourth and final shower was by the teachers at the school and they billed at as primarily a diaper shower, which is freaking awesome! it was also the same day as a faculty meeting - a slight bit awkward cause EVERYONE was there!

so we had some cake (it was quite tasty for grocery store cake. but that is coming from a pregnant lady so take it with a grain of salt):

and some food:

and we didn't open many presents until we got home because we didn't want to call too much attention to the whole thing - the times got off and the shower was kind of also while we were all supposed to be headed to division meetings and whatever. there were a few adorable gifts, and a ton of diapers and wipes:

and paul and i had a little time to talk with the boss about maternity leave options while i snapped a couple of pics with the iphone:

once we got home i got to go through everything and sort out all the diapers. the newborns and size ones went in parker's closet, and all the size twos and threes went out to the garage:

so freaking cool.

so - to all out there that have done something so generous for my little dude or for me and p: thank you so hard. it means the world.

oh wait! i almost forgot the AFGHANS! a teacher and a middle school parent (whose student NEITHER p or i teach, she is just nice) made us baby afghans!
let me go take another crappy phone pic...you have to see them! i really have to remember to bring real cameras home, cause they really kind of suck.

this is the one from the sweet, dear teacher who i super love- she made it to be crayola colors - it is primary blue, green, red, yellow, and white.

and here is the one from the parent - she was worried that i wouldn't like it! are you kidding!?!?! if you can't tell, it's brown, orange, a beautiful sage, light blue, and hunter green.

anyway, we are feeling the love and it has really added to my antsiness - i am just ready to meet the little guy!
