THE lamp!

this summer we spent a couple of days in santa fe. at some point i will share some awesome pictures of the area and such. but for now, this is real fun.

we went to santa fe because a family at school had offered us their family's condo for a week as a thank-you for the extra work paul had done with their son throughout the year. super nice ofthem. anyway the gentleman who owns the house is a photographer and art collector and eccentric, i would say. as a result, the decor of the condo did not disappoint: traditional native american/mexican/new mexican art would be right next to fun kitschy things from this store:
design warehouse - which we visited while there and was totally awesome in every way.

the home's owner (who paul knows, so we're not staying in a total stranger's house or anything) seems to have a deep love for collecting LAMPS. in the living/kitchen area upstairs, i believe i counted ten lamps. LAMPS EVERYWHERE. but this one, in the upstairs bathroom, was our favorite:

cute, right! i'm almost certain it came from that design warehouse store but they didn't have one when we shopped there. i would like to have twelve. a great gift for any occasion: winkie lamp!
