on a jet plane

so, it's pretty well-known that a LOT of us (sarah g, kat, jenny, maria, me, not sure who else) have the exact same diaper bag. in the same color, i think. well, this is because this diaper bag kicks ass. i did think, however, that it might be a good idea to personalize it in some way. so i used a patch that jenny gave me, some fabric, and some liquid stitch, and came up with this:

this and maybe a onesie are really as far as i have gotten with my creative urges lately. unfortunately, nesting to me seems to mean shopping - i have bought tons of crap to make things (onesies, iron-ons, fabric, christmas stuff, etc), but haven't actually made them. oops!

i have also been pretty preoccupied with cleaning the guest room and house in anticipation of tomorrow's visitor: LAURA!


her awesome boyfriend bought her a plane ticket to come see us because i guess she has been lamenting not seeing us this year/during my pregnancy. HOW CUTE IS THAT? so he tried to keep it a secret and just tell her that he was sending her "on a trip", but she figured it out. she is taking the red-eye tonight (it's her birthday, you see) and will be here in the morning! we're excited to have her hang out with us at school tomorrow with the goats and sheep and teenagers and whatnot!
