hmm. updates. random. rambly.

so....yeah. real life is back in full force and i am not so sure i don't think of running back to meh-hee-co almost every day so i can go back to that short-lived life of fun in the sun with friends. this time, i would take my husband. i never realized how codependent we were until i went somewhere lovely without him.....

speaking of that dude, he is becoming quite the golfer. if you or your spouse or friend or other athletic type person in your life plays golf, well, paul probably wants to golf with you/them. unless you/them are insaneo good. then no. but he has bought new clubs, a new bag, and all kinds of crap recently, and he scored the first double eagle ever in the history of Clary Field, the course he played while i was on vacation. so that is cool n stuff.

um, and since i never want to draw again (being dramatic because i did so much work for that stinking exhibition) i have taken up new and (not) exciting hobbies lately. i am christmas shopping, reading a book, trying to fertilize my crappy lawn, doing dishes and laundry slightly more often, and knitting! i am particularly enjoying the knitting!

god, we are exciting!

in other unexciting news, i finally went to the dentist today after weeks of pain. if you know me, or have heard the "bridge" story, you would know that i don't much enjoy dental work, however, require more than the average bear. so i went, and now i get to get a root canal next week *yeehaw!* and soon after i get to go under to have 3 wisdom teeth with cavities in them extracted. ughhhhh.

i am trying so hard to get on top of life, but i still always feel behind. after this i just have the huge Autumn Arts Festival at my school that i am organizing and takes place on friday, then work and jenny's reception saturday, finding time to go to my aunt's play, folding the clean laundry, taking my flabby butt to the gym, cleaning the house, hanging out with grandma, etc etc etc. probably the story of everyone's life. so much to do!

so then, on a positive note, i shall leave you with a picture (or three) of the tree in my front yard. sandy, my sweet neighbor across the street, told me that she has lived in her home since 1962 and this is the prettiest she has ever seen the tree! it amazes me that these pics were taken over the course of maybe four days. life moves fast, friends!

The tree is beautiful!

Be good to your teeth. Life without them would suck.

And busy is the story of a lot of people's lives. Those without a lot to do get bored easily! :)

such purdy trees! I want to paint it!

and I feel ya on the dental-hating, I feel ya. and, um, can kat please tell the story? it sounds funny, in the kind of way where you wouldn't want it to happen to you or your friend, except it did happen to my friend...but I wanna hear it anyway!

and yay for the knitting. all I can knit is a scarf.

do you ever have dreams that your teeth are falling out? i do. sorry about the wisdom teeth. when i had mine out (towards the end of my senior year of college, perfect timing!), it was the worst most drawn-out painful experience of my life. you know, dry sockets, a sinus infection that then drained thru the holes into my mouth so i had a constant stream of snot in my mouth... grossness. i hope yours are much easier. oh and did you sell much at your exhibition? and knitting! i love to knit! post knitting project pix, please!
