soooo forgetful

what a cool weekend. laura was here, we went shopping, we had a party, we ate food, we played cards, we hung out. it was great, except that i forgot to take any pictures. there is one kinda sucky part: p is sick and wasn't able to do too much. he spent saturday with the academic bowl team (he is a coach for the 8th/9th team), and then was kinda puny the rest of the weekend. ah, the joys of working at a school- always getting the crappy germs and flus and colds that go around. here's hoping i am not going to get this one...

i do have a "corners of my home post" to contribute, albeit a bit late. this is the newest corner of my home, actually, because i moved my bookshelf last night and took the cd holder off the top and did some other rearranging in my still-a-bit-hodge-podge dining room/studio. here's what i ended up with:


















i'm so sad about my poor lil' bamboo, he is browning on the tips. i have read that this is partially due to the lack of humidity inside the house during the winter, but i've yet to do anything about it. i hope i can save him! tips are always welcome.
