i have been out of work and trying to enjoy it while remaining productive. here is a short review:
23rd:cleaned the house, ate yummy ham meal at knights house, shopped, cooked. maybe played some nintendo.
24th:christmas eve. had party. lots of students playing music and nintendo. was fun.
25th:christmas.
wake up, p and i exchange gifts. go to knights house for breakfast (i love you eggs damron) and presents. have laura on speakerphone the whole time so it is more like she is there on her first xmas away from home. go home with lots of fun new things and get ready for the day. b changes outfits approximately 27 times.
go hang with grandma marv and exchange gifts. back to knights for xmas meal. delish. discuss the merits of the new beatles "love" album. (there are many. merits, that is.)
head to apkers and exchange gifts, then eat prime rib for the second time of the day. go home mucho the tired and mucho the thankful.
26th:my cousins come over and play nintendo and tulsa monopoly! the 26th also happens to be our half-anniversary. we also went to dinner at a student's parent's house and had dessert/cards with the knights.
27th:went to a regifting party thrown by a teacher, good times. cleaned the house, did errands.
28th: lunch with audra at baxters, and then christmas at dad & becky's house with my stepbrother and his wife and my NEPHEW (sweet i love saying nephew) alex who is an adorable rockstar. it was nice to spread christmas out to several days!
29th:shopping! have students over to watch spinal tap. good times.
30th:shopping! poker with mike and angela!
31st:our last browns game as pres/vp of the club. there just isnt enough time!
then begins the new years' eve festivities. the Ice Ball at the mayo hotel was beautiful, and money went to charity. but there were a lot of people and not a lot of bartenders. or appetizers. there were, however, lots of yuppies. saw lots of chi-os, though, so that was fun. we weren't real into the scene, however, and decided to flee at about 12:15 and meet up with mike and angela and sarah and andrew habiger at a place i havent been to in probably 4 years: village inn! delightful, and a nice unhealthy way to end the year before those resolutions kick in today!
jackie and ashley are beautiful ballers as per usual
angela says"no pictures please"
so that is what i have been doing. not many pics so not much to blog, you know? wednesday is when i start my new job and i am looking very forward to it but not so sure when i will have time to blog. which is cool cause we arent really all that interesting- i reccommend you go look at more cute pics of amari on kevin and maria's blog instead!
i did ignore one big thing on the new years' eve thing: the biggest thrill of all was when jenny and jeff walked in and said "we have news!"
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT, we are very happy for you both!

lol at my "no papparazzi" pic. CONGRATS to Jenny & Jeff!!
Nah, you probably bailed at a good time.. I mean.. it was fun after that, but it was so crowded!! eh well.. getting dressed up is always fun. Next year, we should get all gussied up and drink at home.. lol. :) That way, we're combining the best of both worlds...cause we both know all I care about is getting dressed up and taking cute pics.. lol. :)
I like the new pic! looks like you had a fun time. :D
happy new year.
happy new year chica!
happy new year! i didn't know about jenny & jeff! that's so exciting!
Glad to see you had a good holiday season! ALSO glad to see you showed those kids Spinal Tap. Spread the gospel of wrapping a cucumber in foil, putting it in pants, and setting off a metal detector.
This one goes up to 11. 11!
